Rodney, (and timing person!) I've been sailing the Minisail off 1225 at Whitefriars, and getting roughly the same results as in the Lightning, but worse than in the Firefly. Mind, I've never raced the GRP boat, which is a bit different to the wooden one.

In light winds the wooden one gets nowhere near handicap - in a blow is way better - sort of like a British Moth in exact reverse... the GRP one has a less extreme hull form, so might be less of a one trick pony.

If you want to knock a few points off for the unknowness of it all, feel free.

James you are right i can hike like one of those little kids do but nowdays i let my daughter do the hiking (all 3st 10lb of her ) Anyway i cant get away from it as its still a laser
