I'll have a go, it might need to be sailed across to where they let me build the bonfire Wink

The fat telly tubby with the stick is me, having finally forced her indoors into a boat.  I had hoped to bring this magnificent craft along to ram all the poxy epoxies but my dreams have been shattered by having been daft enough to break the mast.....the boat being a mere 40 years old we would have won that concourse prize for sure.

Now I need an alternative.  ToY, moff or megabyte?
the same, but different...

Hi all,
22 years old this year, ..... Does that qualify me for a perseverance prize?

You get to be head of the queue for the charity bonfire I'll be building Wink

Not sure how well carbon/kevlar/epoxy burn - you bringing you portable incinerator? I'm pretty sure there'll be better candidates around for the bonfire though - Laser toilet seat anyone?
No FD? No Comment!

Having had a plastic boat burned I can tell you that they do not leave us if un touched but stay as a gauze "mantle".

By the way Pondmonkey, what is all this Solo imminent stuff? Are you implying imminent old age or are you waiting for me to sell mine.....which I will be.

Forget about that minor event at Burnham this weekend .. .. we all know that the real action will be at Broxbourne next weekend.  A 'choose your weapon of choice ' (or necessity)  and 'talk it up' event without parallel.

Don't forget that the best 'I woz robbed because .....'  claim is much more important that an actual positon in any of those race things Rodney has also organised.   Please note anyone using the classical 'PN' argument as part of the 'I was robbed etc'  statement is automatically eliminated as being far too boring and frankly missing the point (yes - but do continue to bore them at your local club ... again and again).  No at Broxbourne creativity will be the key - you really must develop a much more interesting line of 'new' excuses to score the highest points.

Changing the subject  .... So who wants to 'swop' their whatsit for an Icon when required then ?   If you are a 'billy no mates' singlehander  I might even persuade 'Andy' the dancing farmer to remain up front and crew for you (aka 'minding the boat' I hope) while I try to make sence of your ride !  (Hint - do not get him wet or even worse  pour beer down his neck afterwards thinking you might just get away with it - and don't whatever you do mention youtube !).

Should be fun .. and what does Babysham and brandy taste like ?  Sounds like alcopops for grown-ups !

Looking forward to next weekend ...

Mike L.
