Well there's this stick thing at the back you aim it with and downwind you have to stand up grab a handfull of rope haul on it and sit down, then you do it over again.. I saw this bloke doing it on telly, looked easy, unless of course you're Danish and ginger, then you might fall in... Wink

Can we all try it at the meeting ?  I'm sure some are really quite good at it already regardless of whatever they normally sail  ..... LOL

That would be a great 'Fun' Race, a 100m Finn Downwind Pump race.  None of the upwind nonsense start from a commitee boat  line and winner reaches the bottom of the course first!

maybe unload the race committee with more burden... simply hang around at the finish, drag race in, dump the boats in the shingle, (you didn't pay for it did you Russ and Graeme clearly doesn't mind the odd scratch) and the first one to bar and finish their pint is the winner?

Haven't we been here before?

A fantastic race, leaping off the back of a yacht at 6 knots into a rubber dinghy, row to the shore, down a pint, back to the boat and on to the next one!  Followed by more beer in the evening....
