There was a glut of embarrassing photos of me in a 300, i think in this particular instance i was about 100 yds from winning my first race in a class open.

That was careless then.

As for the board thing mine was so tight in the slot the elastic dis virtually nothing anyway. Not checking the essentials before racing is unforgivable russ....... Watch the rig fall down on my phantom at the forumites open now I've said that
Everything I say is my opinion, honest

I've just gone through that entire Bloody Mary photo bucket , rather you than me, all credit to you for even launching. Even sat here at the keyboard in my shorts, Tshirt and slaps, it gave me a shiver looking at it, honestly who would design a boat like that and convince young chaps that sailing it in freezing weather is a sound idea.. Sue someone, I would, where there's blame... LOL

It was a beautiful sunny day apart from the wind chill factor of -30C.  Sensibly I didn't sail but had to pack up some D-Ones which wasn't easy as I had to cut ropes due to frozen knots.  Full credit to everyone who sailed on that day.  Me?  I never sail unless it's +30C or more so you can expect that at the FOM  Wink

At least the bloke in the white boat behind had the sense to wear a balaclava and keep his face turned away from the camera!

To be fair though, the centre board doesn't look like it is too high out of the water.  It is just the sidedeck that is way out there.

I had my plate fall out of mine when i first got it but then again i did pitch pole in 25 knots of wind and a big sea no wonder the plate flew out after the elastic snapped

For those who are interested I have put the NOR for the Forumites Open Meeting here http://www.suntouched.co.uk/broxbourne_003.htm

You will find links to the entry form and payment page on the NOR page.  Please enter so that Broxbourne SC can ensure that the catering is properly organised.

Looking forward to seeing you all on October 13th.  My forecast shows 25C and 12 knots SW Smile  I hope that will suit you all?
