Keith, I know that it's a fearful thought for you to have to leave Essex but, when we chose the location, we had these fears of yours in mind and ensured that you would not have to leave the Holy ground  LOL

It's just your side of the River Lee, Broxbourne Sailing Club 2012 | Meadgate Road, Nazeing, Essex. EN9 2PB.   By the way I seem to remember your satnav kept telling us to to U turns in Valencia when not necessary.  Perhaps you would like me to arrange for a native guide?  Come to think of it it might be necessary at the end of the Saturday night's festivities  Ermm

I might well need my satnav as I last sailed there in an Enterprise open meeting back in the 70's (that's 1970's before you ask).

I am bringing the megabyte.  I am going to try to bring the lowrider too, but it did the moth thing and exploded into several parts just recently and I may not be able to rebuild it in time.

I would like a fried egg sandwich not a bacon butty please.
the same, but different...

So have you got a pass Graeme? Might be tempted to come down but not travelling 3-4 hrs unless there's some serious butt kicking opportunities.

And if I do come down, it would save no end of hassle and driving time if I could borrow a boat. So how much would I have to weigh to be suitable for one of the 'spare' boats (D1 or Finn)?

Hi Keith, Sorry but all the slots for D-Ones and Finns have now been taken.  If anything changes I will let you know but I think that these are the only classes with a full house.  We have me sailing a Finn and I am bringing a second one for Russ plus Finnatic from Yorkshire.  3 D-Ones are booked in with Charlie, Keith and Mark racing them.

If racing finishes early enough on the Saturday I am happy to let people have a go in a Finn or a D-One.

Can someone confirm how many Icons are booked in to race?  If it's only two I may be able to get a third one there for someone to use, depending on logistics.

Having just done the Round Sheppey race, it is evident to me that those who sleep with a roof over their head are at a distinct advantage over those who camp. Any chance of a 20 point bonus for those in tents over those in B&B's and pikey camper vans?

Hi Peaky

But you did not stay in our 'B&B' ... one of the most disappointing, noisy and simply crappy at any price I've ever stayed at !  If we stay 'local' again it might well be camping !  BTW we did notice you make at least 2 wrong turns on your way back home as you kept shooting out in front of us at random junctions and then haring off again .... presumably your GPS also got a bad nights sleep !

But I like your logic for the Forumites meeting all the same ..

Mike L.

PS - But at least you did get round this year so it could not have been that bad   LOL

I was rather hoping you didn't notice me the second time! My driving is much like my sailing...
No crew to bugger things up this time . Hope youve got room on the mantelpiece for all that silverware!
