Who said the 100 isn't a pond boat??????

I have moved clubs recently and am club sailing in a narrow river now compared to open sea and its doing wonders for me boat handling!!!! Great fun tacking and gybing lots....
Bit generous on the roll here perhaps.

PS - I know its not a RS1000!!!!

be interesting to know is sales (opposed to sails) are keeping up at a decent rate... was struck by how easy it was to have a poke about the RS100 at this years Dinghy Show

I would imagine the sales have slowed in the UK at least as with any new product after 3 years sales. However I expect the potential outwith the UK is yet to be realised??

The thing that is really impressing me with the boat is its quality and longivity. All I have done now in season 3 is replace a couple of ropes and the slot gasket... And thats after alot of club sailing.

Same here, just a slot gasket and a new genny halyard in three years. Have seen boats well into the 400s in terms of rough numbers - but that may be a very rough estimate

can't recall now from seeing the boat at demo days, is the slot gasket a stick-on job only, or is there a lip/strake holding it down as well?

You must have done a bad job the first time then Jimbo ;P

Boats are still going out of the factory and tricking along quite well. We are gaining fleets and building to the existing ones at the same time. Gurnard, HISC and Datchet must be the 'super clubs' at the moment, all with 10+ boats there. I think Gurnard has 13-14 and HISC probably has about 15 with some very top sailors from various other fleets getting involved.

On the European scene there are A LOT of boats out there, but getting them to join an open is proving tricky to take the dip the first time, but once they come they come back and seem to love it.

Genoa is in a couple of months and I think we will have 10-15 boats with only 4 being British, which will be fantastic!

If anyone here wants to join us in the fleet, drop me a message paul@rssailing.com or check out our new website - http://www.rs100sailing.org/

No, musto fault- not enough calf height to stop my wellies getting topped over- float the boat, leave the 'drag act' for the works riders....
