My 1970ish vintage glass Int Moth has a bright orange deck, bluish black topsides and is white below the waterline...

I reckon a really high gloss cherry red with gunmetal grey deck would be the bees knees on an icon. Or orange, but the sail trim may clash.

Miss mine, by the way.

Have you never been dumped by a girl after a couple of dates? It can still hurt.

It's actually 12 months almost to the day since I first sailed it, plus many trips to Burghfield to sail Mike's before that.

To move away slightly from lurid deck colours, I was wondering if Devoti had plans for a European tour with charter boats for the Icon, similar to their D1 events, in Valencia, Lake Garda, etc.?

but the good news is you can always go back to a boat in the future with your dignity and self respect intact when situations and circumstances change... any they will, they do for all of us.

The simple answer is 'Yes' to this idea and in time to create an attractive multi-class circuit  - short term it is mostly about getting Icon production totally standardised at the Devoti facitlity in Poland, demonstration boats out, test reviews in non-UK markets and more people in them across markets much wider than we (Cirrus) could ever have achieved in isolation.  Nearer to home and in the shorter term you will find  there will be shared events with the D1 here in the UK at first.

Garda in Icon .... yes I had already thought about that  .... and I'm not too bothered about the colours either !
