Why blame the RYA?! It's a legit technique. As discussed almost ad infinitum previously to write a rule to disallow it would have some very odd and by no means welcome potential consequences. So use it if you choose...or not.
Personally I admire those with a combination of the skill and determination to achieve it.

If I recall correctly there were quite a few in the medal races of the last olympics, maybe in the Finns and Lasers and possibly some others. Maybe you can find them on youtube.

If you look at team racing videos, although there are very slight differences in rules you can see the slowing process. Also if there is any footage from the RS Feva nationals last race that has just finished I understand that a lot of match racing happened in the last race to secure the title.

Hi - I'm looking for footage of occasions that we read about so often, when the series leader decides to sail his rival down the fleet in order that they accumulate max points and fall out of contention (mainly to understand the technique and what the immortals consider to be legal). Does anyone have any links for this type of video?
