I haven't read all 43 pages of this thread (43!!), so I hope this is a sensible question. What's the status of the F3.7 in the UK at present? I'm 65kg (and sadly 68), but I had Contender before my current boat, a Mk 2 Supernova. The 3.7 looks perfect for lightweights. I hope this goes somewhere before I'm hauled off to the residential home.

Currently there is one boat sailing- which is at Burghfield, and two boats being built- one by myself, and another by DaveB.
There is likely to be a few more after the dinghy show, especially with the availability of a kit.

The current New Zealand Class president is 65 and has no intention of giving up sailing his 3.7! If you are planning on coming to the RYA dinghy show we are on the Spinlock stand B52, come and have a chat. |
