Er it was a jest, you'd never get it off the beach, just pointing out the reality of demo donkey world, miles of travel 'oribble venues then no sale after, spent years doing it, (taking windsurfers to Pumney lake must be an all time low)

It's called a Vareo Peaky. They were even looking at a flatter cut of spinnaker (no confirmation of range of colours yet) last year to improve the RTC capability.

smart move... you could quite easily see the Vareo as a better RTC boat than the RS100 and D1- much more inline with RS200 / Laser performance and about half the price of a 100 or D1 with plenty of cheap second hand boats these days.

Luca is a big chap and he envisioned a boat for big chaps that was more fun than a Finn. The fact that fit lightweights can compete is I guess a bonus as it increases the gene pool. I'm 6'3" and 92kl and it suits me. I probably wouldn't have bought it if we raced triangle courses at Thorpe Bay. As it is I race against 9ers and assy cats on the w/l course which is fine. I would prefer one design racing but the lack of it did not and does not deter my choice of boat. Hopefully in time we can encourage some more D-Ones to add to our initial 'fleet' of two.

Neither the 100 or Vareo hold any attraction for me at all.

I actually think that would be a smart move by RS, a RTC kite for the vareo could give it the lease of life it needs.  Be interested to see how it develops.

We actually had 12 boats at the nationals (not sure why it says 11, but then who cares) I like the new forum Moniker Devoti Demo Donkey (DDD) sounds like a big pair of tits, which is very fitting for those of you that have met me!

Graeme, I am not to worried about the stresses of Demo Donkey'n...For the time being anyway, i have enjoyed speaking with people about the boat regardless of them buying one or not.  I will never get rich through selling boats, its not my job its my hobby and i am happy with that.

I guess the real question is when are we going to race the V-Barge??

nice to see that a blasting boat for the clinically obese (before grf says it) has been developed, everything in recent years that looks like real fun has been targeted at the under-nourished. And of the nation is getting bigger
