The 900 has already been cooked in an oven, so we're not concerned about delam. We do accept, however, that we should probably offer a lighter colour option for those in seriously hot climates or planning international circuit sailing, to reduce the "too hot to handle" syndrome.

Good point Alistair.  You can fry an egg...and bacon on my Vareo mast/boom in the summer.   A grey hull would definately heat up.

Is anyone going to let us into the big secret? Or is this a South Coast only thing?

Won't all the boats on the circuit end up the same dull colour, so the RO can't tell who's bow is poking out on the line?

As nice as it appears it doesn't look much different to everything else on offer really does it?
Can't see it being any more capable of being 'handled' by however 'Elite' our skiffy girls turn out to be when the breeze pops above five beaufort and bumps start appearing in the water, can see another 'Beijing' sooner or later and the already 'Elite' sport being driven even further away from 'human' access, personally.

I put the words Elite in inverted commas since I personally would expect Elite to be capable of using the said craft without coming unstuck whereas patently as things stand right now that aint the case, save on the odd temperate Italian lake.

I wonder how much smaller the sport and its supporting shows have to become before they finally spot why it aint exactly growing..

The girls here were sailing in 15-18kts at Hayling and did go out into the bay. They are also on the lighter end of the weight scale that the boat has been designed for (110-130kgs) I think they were roughly 112 and were sailing the boat brilliantly. This is with relatively little practice. Obviously only time will tell, but signs looking very positive so far!
