I thought the colour scheme made me think about that boat a lot....

Still, if it's better than the 49er with the baby rig, would get my vote although I'm not a girl and wouldn't mind a baby rig for a 49er when it starts blowing 20kts plus.

Remembering that much of the influx of all girl crews into the 800 is about gaining skiff experience ahead of a boat being selected...

We are chuffed to bits with this "production spec" boat - it is up several gears on the prototype we were sailing last winter - I say we, really only the girls (the only 900 sailing Alex and I do is from a rib...!). The rig we got close last winter, so only small improvements recently, but the hull which is lighter, shorter, and tweaked from last year has given the leap fwd....when non-Perth 49ers get back from Palamos we can do some 2 boating - but the numbers would indicate very similar performance - if 116kg girls (ok with a bit more practice) can match 155kg boys around the track, then we're happy.

Nick

That does look nice. I think the winning skiff will have solid wings, and coupled with LDC's proven distribution record I reckon this is in with a very good chance.

Excellent looking bit of kit. However....whilst the black/graphite/charcoal hull looks 'well stealth' it is going to bake in hot climes. Has one been left out in the sun of WA or semi-tropical Brazil to see how long it takes to de-lam or get too hot to touch?
