If you're working in Movie Maker it'll probably be faster as there are less options.  The thing that takes most time is trying to sort out the colour correction (i.e. trying to make each shots contrast, brightness, saturation etc. look nice and work together as a whole).  I don't think MM allows you to do this anyway.

Legendary discoball !! been lurking for years but just had to say thats the best vid in a long time. Fantastic shots you should be proud. We miss sailing at starcross.Next time try and get some pics of the propper classes. Good to see some old friends and good sailors screwing stuff up!

I also put a video of mine, but I think it's worth it Smile Loooots of funny moments in it , especially the first times we try to helm the 29erXX LOL
All boom-cam gopro in our club in lake Como. Hope watching it can be 1% as fun as was for me doing the edit.

I, too, loved the Merlin video; very interesting camera angles, and reeeeally great editing
