That was it *slaps forehead*

Only used it a couple of times (and snapped the tack line last time out).  Fixed it this week so blatting around Farmoor with the Pirates for our "Skiff Day" tomorrow.  Need to get at it with the tape measure to make sure it's got all it's bits pointing in the right direction.
Fun boat - not easy to sail well though.... Cool

I could be tempted to build one (or get help to build one) for BNS.

So if Olly can get some kits together then perhaps someone else can investigate mast suppliers and sail suppliers. Perhaps Graham Scott of Wavelength designs could help as he does make some very good Contender sails.

So can we come up with 5 potential new boats to kick start this?

I'd certainly be interested in firming up costs - but bear in mind that my marriage can cope with my time on projects - it's the financial outlays when funding 2 x 4.7 sailors that could get me hung! LOL

Sail on the one imported from NZ is a north sail made in NZ. But I am sure that the files for it could be brought to North in England to be cut. I also quite fancy building one but currently have another boat build project filling my garage already!
Not sure about mast but boom is a standard 100mm carbon tube I think.

You should use your 'project' for spares Jeremy and build a 3.7 instead ;-)

Firming up on costs is always going to be tricky because prices are pretty volatile worldwide, but you can bet the figures are going to be similar to other boats of the same sort of size, which a quick google suggests is a bit over £1000 for a carbon spar and a bit under that for a mylar sail. Tin and dacron would be less. Then there's foils and gear. Naturally if 5 of you get together and place a bulk order you'd be able to negotiate pretty aggressively.
