A new fleet in the making? LOL LOL

Could re-name it the YYFF (Yachts&Yachting Forum Fleet) and sort out the men from the boys (apologies to unapendaged types on here Wink).

May have to wait until the new year, but I quite fancy building one for my stroppy teens (I'm a bit too chunky at the moment).
My 12 yr old 4.7 sailing stroppy teen used to rob my Contender whenever possible (that was over a year ago LOL), so he'd love this, I reckon.

Nice thing about a boat as small as the Farr is that you can practically build it in a single garage. Get much bigger and you start running very short of room.

I've just measured the garage, I think it will fit! Smile
Needs to sail more...

There was an estimation for materials for building the hull a couple of years ago.

The figure is  about NZ$ 1100 (pre-tax). (6 Sheets 4mm Gaboon plywood, 1 Sheet   3mm Gaboon plywood,...2 Litres Epoxy timber sealer/preservative).  That translates into GBP 541.

It's GOT to be less time consuming than building my VW - and my marriage (just about) survived that LOL

So, this estimated cost of £4000 ish for the hull..... presumably that's not fitted out, but professionally built?
