I guess you haven't sailed a 29er in the Solent chop then?

It may seem that, I took it seriously, and there is some weight, in the suggestion.....

Not something I would go for,but each to his own......

Goodness, some people on here take things literally don't they?

Any ideas whether this new thing has a T-foil rudder? The 14s with dreadnought bows do, which must help with fore/aft stability and therefore reduce the risk of nose-diving.

depends on wind weight
Also depends on tide thickness, it's very important!

TIDE THICKNESS???

I accept that, different water DENSITIES,may make a difference, but that is really clutching at straws....If you can tell, the difference in Salinity, while sailing your boat, then you should be a multiple world champion..... (I'm guessing you're not?). Going the right way up the beat, and sailing the boat correctly is what counts.....

Good Luck, and practice, practice, practice, practice et ell....

Methinks 'twas a jest.

I've seen bows like that on both A Class caamarans and International Canoes.

it's all out aimed for visual appeal... fit birds in tight lycra, lots of spray, sexy looking boat, close proximity 'team work' ... who said sailing was being dumbed down to a base level?

women's skiff sailing in Rio... it's going to be the new 'beach volleyball'.
