Ooohhhh .... first it's Jim being rude to you now me ... time to grow some thicker skin ...Everyone know some classes are harder to win than others and at the bottom of the pile are the noddy ones... if your mate wants his entry into the big event and if he's the next Anslie then he just has to show his metal in a class with greater levels of competition.Out of the 142 nationals run would his class be rated by the people on here as one of the 25 toughest to win? yes or no ..?As for me I am busy with more modern pursuits with kites Big smile

I see no reason why anyone should be rude to anyone, we are talking about a hobby here, not life and death. Just show respect for other people.

Kites eh, I presume that implies Kite Surf. I saw one of our former club members recently and when I asked him what he was up to post dinghy sailing he said, "kite surfing, mountain bike racing.......anything dangerous..............". Mmmmmm, genitally incomplete then. On the other hand one of our elderly GP sailors has a grand daughter who is World Kite Surf Champion, more than once I think. She comes down and crews for her grandparent in an old Mk 1 GP when she has spare time in the UK and what a charming, modest and attractive girl. I will see if she knows you..........

I did like those 2 comments in the same posting, Tickel!

After 18 pages of this thread, (which I'm really not going to look back over) has anyone suggested that Scooby Doo is top dog, far better than Lassie? Or maybe Terry Pratchett's Gaspode the Wonderdog?

which is a bit different from the Littlest Hobie; which is a cat, not a dog... well actually it's both (and ghay), but that's a different story...

From what I can make out with a quick google then based on the number of Champion certificates awarded the all time top dog in the UK is Shelda and Kevin Hornby's Longcoat Chihuahua, Ch Bramerita Naughty But Nice... http://dogworld.co.uk/Winners

It was a clumsy attempt at irony Rupert but I took care not to abuse the evidently noble Seabadger but a third person who you will probably never meet.

That is one ugly boat.  It should have been tied in a sack as and chucked in the river shortly after birth.
