This is true but I got fed up with sticking it back together, The 8.1 rig and my weight are to much for the repair. I could of course have ground it out and reglassed it but hey life is to short and there are a lot of sound but scruffy hulls out there.

If that is the only damage, it is pretty easy to mend.

Twyford near Reading one side has a split 1 metre long the other 1 and a half metres long, deck to hull joint.

Ancient grp hulls are easy to break, 10 minutes with a decent sized hammer and you'll end up with a pile of small bits that can be fed into bins etc.  Not as satisfying perhaps as burning old wooden boats on the club bonfire, but it works !

Councils obviously vary - I've taken several boats to the dump over the years. Chop it to pieces and stick it in bin bags? Or as said above, ebay it! Save you the cost of a saw...
