I've done it at last the deck and hull on my 8.1 have all but parted company, so I bought another old knacker of a hull but what to do with the broken one? The local council say they wont accept it, chopping it up is a nightmare.... Has anyone any thoughts on this, please,Tim

Councils obviously vary - I've taken several boats to the dump over the years. Chop it to pieces and stick it in bin bags? Or as said above, ebay it! Save you the cost of a saw...

Ancient grp hulls are easy to break, 10 minutes with a decent sized hammer and you'll end up with a pile of small bits that can be fed into bins etc.  Not as satisfying perhaps as burning old wooden boats on the club bonfire, but it works !

Your club doesn't want to use it as a shore based training aid?
