I would personally recommend the SB3- nothing beat clocking 25knts on one blasting of the face of a wave!

Also, and a class to watch, The Longtze- great looker, fast etc

Worth checking out the Seascape 18 on www.seascape18.com. May be exactly what you are looking for.

What ever happened to the x-treme 25? I always thought it looked very nice and I only ever heard favorable reports. Did people just decide to stick to the larger class size of the sb3 and other established boats then?

A mate of mine raced the X-treme 25 in Cowes Week last year and said it was good fun but way too much of a handful to sail. And he is a VERY experienced sailor. Shame because its a great looking boat.

Personally I'd never, ever, buy anything called "X-Treme" as unless you are in your teens it is reminiscent of mid-life crisis males buying an Imprezza and wearing a baseball cap backwards.

That aside, what would you actually do with a boat like this in the UK? Sail it in IRC and finish last on handicap?

Looks an interesting boat. Are there prices for it available?

Love the fact that you won't need a braked trailer, which makes true trailer sailoring a real proposition.

Seascape 18 fits the bill. It's a great wee boat.
