the old 12's pretty much went everywhere at 12 knots, when i sailed on victory for a season including a burnham week town cup race the wind ranged from sub 10knots upto 18knots and no matter what direction we went in the speed stayed the same.  We finished so far ahead of the next boat the race officer thought we had retired so didnt give us a gun!  The owner turned the boat round and bought his own cannon up from below decks (a two man job), motored up to the the rcyc pontoon with the balconies full (when boc week was popular) and fired, it was histerical to watch the people on the balconies all duck!  i never got to match race against crusader which is a shame, but i dont miss the short tacking out of the crouch.

Slop-idol - I remember doing EAORA on a beneteau 35.7 against White Crusader the old 12m - that thing just seemed to go at the same speed irrespective of conditions.

yeah mate, they sailed past us like we'd run aground! they had to give us 12 mins every hour!  not good for a light wind race that took over 20hours....

Still playing with camera positions on the boat. Was getting a bit aggressive on the starts at the weekend. We were somewhat amazed not to be over on this one, hadn't managed to get a transit so it was rather speculative.

Also, the gap between the cherub and the other B14's tiller was, um, a bit tight. No contact, no shouting.
