OK, so I am not a gentleman and I cannot afford it. I shall just have to observe and see how it develops.

How long does the average team stay together these days.........long enough to really master the Symmy?

I was pleased to see the X1 at the show, looks like a boat that'll do what it set out to do Thumbs Up

We seem to have acquired another video, this time of the dinghy show stand - only sixty seconds.

I like to take pictures of sailing, but I'd rather be sailing!

Good to speak to everyone at the Dinghy Show and many apologies to Fantasia and any others who did not get a chance to speak to Martin or myself at some stage over the two days.
I hope anyone who has unanswered questions will feel able to email or call or indeed pm me on this forum.

Many thanks to Simon for the invite to the Beastie this weekend, but unfortunately we have a prior commitment in London.
We are very keen to speak to more Phantom sailors though (than just those we saw at the Dinghy Show). We figure that if ever they wished to sail with another, then they'll be the perfect weight for the X1, and would really enjoy it.

A couple more details:
- we've settled on the single spi pole - as well as simpler rigging, it will have certain advantages on twin poles in the light stuff, albeit with some other disadvantages
- yes, the introductory price for this year is £11,995 which includes VAT, but not covers, trolley, trailer etc. We believe this is very good value given the high spec (16ft of Ovington epoxy, carbon spars, 4 sails (i.e. two mains), standard Harken fittings etc etc) but I won't labour any more sales talk at a very knowledgeable group of sailors who know that the only way to judge a boat is to sail it.

A few photos from our sail at Datchet last Sunday... please note... no red hull line, sharper bow profile, slightly lower side decks towards stern perhaps.

The nice people at Cotswold SC are inviting us along with the X1 this Saturday 9th April.

If you are a member of:

Avon SC
Bowmoor SC
Cotswold SC
Frampton on Severn SC
South Cerney OEC
South Cerney SC
Severn SC
Tewkesbury SC
Whitefriars SC

maybe you will be there participating in the Cotswold Federation Regatta?

If not, come along anyway to see the boat.

We won't be participating in the racing, but will be there and sailing.

Looking good for a bit of sunshine with the wind too....
