Looks pretty tricky Tim, I've only seen them sailed on flat water up until now and even then they have some pretty big crashes!

Difficult to sail in a swell then???

(edit).... I am asking a serious question with regard to the effectiveness of a wand in a swell.
I really dont know.

You're right. The interweb is full of sailing videos like this with completely irrelevant and unimaginative soundtracks: absolutely no attempt to cut pics to the beat and a mistaken belief that fast paced music = faced paced video. Grrrr.

There are very few 'uni only' events, its just that most of the events are put on by universities and are mainly attended by uni teams. However most events will have adult teams, often these are 'old boys' teams but not always. For instance the London 6 Pack had non or old boy teams. Have a look at http://www.busa.co.uk/calendar.php for the events that are going on, their mostly in oct-dec and jan-march so next years (uni year that is) wont be up yet.
