Pay-to-View Sailing

I am not happy with this response on several counts.

Firstly, this is an awful way to deliver a response- the reams of
irrelevant information from the FAQ obscure the response to my actual
questions Who on earth thought this was a good idea?

Secondly, the personalised response itself leaves me with severe
misgivings. Are you honestly saying that this close to the tickets being
made available (or, at least, opening the site to applications) that
you're unable to publicly say where in Weymouth (is the Nothe Gardens
proposal still being considered or not?) the ticketed area will actually
be? Are there any plans at all to allow on-the-water spectators anywhere
near the racing? The seeming inability to give a straight answer at this
stage reflects very poorly on the organisation. It is made worse buy the
ticket application conditions- I have a hunch this event is less likely to
sell out, making most ticket applications likely to result in a binding
contract to buy the tickets, and making the re-sell website useless.

I appreciate the it is not within the power of whoever will be answering
this, but please could you try to pass the message on higher that is
simply not acceptable in my view to take applications for tickets until
the issues are resolved and you are able to say what the ticket package
actually is.

Dear Alistair, All Sailing tickets are general admission, this means means it allows you entry into a venue in which standing is permitted. A free ticketed big screen on Weymouth Beach is also being explored to relay all the action of the sailing competition. For Sailing price category A and B offer the same level of viewing and access., however the number of price category B tickets for session SA001 on 29th July 2012 may be limited.
