Not very good teamwork there! What was the crew faffing about so far forward for? and why didnt they try to sort the mainsheet out before it all got out of hand?

Longer HQ full speed footage now here:

reason didn't sort out main sheet is because of the capsize at previous mark, didn't notice until halfway down the reach that it was tagged on the gunwale, and by the time I noticed it it was too late to stop and I as too keen to catch up with the Ent. Give the crew a break, there was a lull (boat rolls slightly to windward just before she went forward to start setting up for the mark, then big gust hit which put bow into the wave.

Cracking sail, shame about the mast, hence the big grins!

Its a feeling foolish - foam sandwich hull with wood decks inspired by Merlins(more flared at the stern) so not your average foolish.. now nearly 12 years old but still going like a train Smile

That has to be forum wind force 5 surely.

This was linked from that video above though and I have to admit to not thinking a vago could go that quickly (almost looks quite good!):

How do you embed youtube videos in the thread?

I think the vago is a boat that if made properly could be a genuinely great boat to sail, epoxy hull and a proper tapered mast not a tree trunk and it would have some upwind performance and be able to plane in anything less than a forum force15
