   Been following the Moth worlds 

Can't believe there hasn't been a peep on the forum about it .

I'm a dyed in the wool cat sailor .

BUT 

These have to be in the olympics , surely they have everything that would keep jo punter interested , high speed crashing , spectacular performance and very watchable sailing ,even fit burds sailing them WELL against men. Winner was crossing start line at 20 knotts !!

normally even as an avid sailor myself I get bored watching sailing on tv , this years coverage of moth worlds has been superb with some excellent footage .

	It could be said that foiling is very much a minority sport which gets nowhere near the IOC's criteria for an olympic sport. But then Women's matchracing ain't exactly a worldwide sport, either. Would be fun to watch, though. Maybe in 50 years...

	Isn't one of the very big obstacles that the Moth class don't want to go anywhere near the Olympics?

	praps ISAF should commission their own moth varient , make it one design , cheaper built and avail to all , call it a Mirth . They reinvented the tornado without class approval , invented womens match racing in elliots so why not the Mirth ??

	Cool sports aren't in the Olympics. That's how they stay cool !
