salty i would suggest swift removal of that GIMP leather foreskin thing before you take it down the club, you'll never hear the end of it otherwise!  the rest of the boat is sweet but having the leather gator out of an xr3i just isnt pimp mate...

Well i found a bit of scrap leather lying around and i had nothing better to do so i thought i would do it just for the hell of it. The boat is going to the dinghy show aswell so its just something a bit different to show off, ill probably end up taking it off when i get out sailing again.

And yes unfortunately it is only the carbon vinyl. It doesnt look too bad though.

The rings are the most pimp thing on the boat now. They cost an absolute arm and a leg but they do look the nuts.

Salty, she looks good but i'm affraf mate its a thumb down from me..
First off Leather ona  dinghy is deffo GIMP, surely when it gets wet you are going to have black dye running over your nice clean cockpit floor, not only this Leather goes hard after drying.
Is that a real carbon pad below the mainsheet block or that stick on stuff often seen on the dashboard of Saxo VTR's??

I am liking the Rings though, that is a Pimp.

Spent a bit of time making the rings attachable to my racks and here is the result,

Now i just have to get the racks sorted and rivet all the bits on!

Antal Low Friction Rings. Essentially do the same job as the plastic rings but are milled from aluminium and are anodised to prevent corrosion. Also the surface is, as expected, low friction. This obviously aids the rope as it runs through. They also have a larger radius on the bit the rope runs over to reduce wear and chafe on the rope.

But most importantly they cost a sh*t load more than the plastic ones, and are therefore PIMP.

What are they?? The 5oh is now in the garage dying out and having a few repairs done.  Then its pimp time, including some carbon detailing.  Re-rig etc.

Pimp Club has been fairly quiet recently, so i thought i would add my latest additions....

Crappy Plastic rings; definitely not pimp.

These however...

Definitely worthy of Pimp status i think  Big smile

Surely the biggest Rugby area is at Rugby, 0 mins from Rugby (where the game came from!), 20mins from Leicester & Northampton, 10 mins from Coventry! Wink
