We went for dinner in a town called Hood River, on the Columbia river gorge, where Nessa's vid comes from - it is just a stunning place. A freak of geography means that the wind always blows, and as you can see, for a river, it is pretty damn huge. I suspect the film of the RS100 has more wind than it looks like from the state of the water.
That thread we had about places to sail before you die - I'll add the Gorge to the list!

Nice bit of B14 action at 5:12 to 5:53 (Flat is Fast!) and 7:54 to 8:50:

Excellent use of the boomcam by Geoff "BSBS" Gritton.

Mike,
Nice to see the old ship still looking good and going fast.
Fell's theory was to get further aft once tanking downhill to reduce the wetted area = more speed!
New Rudder, Bout time for some new rags eh? (or to take the logo's off!)

Cheers

Albacore sailing in Toronto Harbour Yesterday.

You see the jib pole bend a little at 20s, a bit more at 1:00 min and then fold completely at about 1:30.

Set up a mast camera too but the damn thing stopped after 12 mins, just as we were launching.....

Bit too cold today -13°C right now.  Maybe that was the last sail of the year.
