That is not a UK tower. I work for the company that owns all of the broadcast towers in the UK and that would never happen. The climber would be secured with rail lock which means they are permanently attached to the tower.
 
We are currently running a programme where some of those type of antennas are swapped out. We have found the easiest method is to use a helicopter.

OMG, just re-defined my idea of "what it takes to be a rock-star bowman" = the work on the sharp end of ETNZ while they were blasting through (rather than down) those waves was immense, absolutely awesome gybe by the Origin boys as well early on in the vid, getting that done under that much control with those loads is really slick

relying on one other person to lower you down would not be good enough for anyone's rescure plan
