there's no battery in it - that came in a seperate carry-case, you'd need a massive fanny-pack for that!  so perhaps it's bouyant??? 

Got a good arguement for you breaking 43.1(a) (hard to argue that you need to carry on your person a phone that doesn't even work?) and if it weighs enough to make a difference, then part (b) too- we'll drag you out the bar and make sure your kit is all nicely soaked through as part of checking  In fact, as we'll not be needed for the weighing, we'll be found in that bar

Protest room? I'll be in the bar or on my way home by the time you lot finish....besides which, there appears to be room in this handy fanny-pack to include a copy of the RRS and some of those funky little plastic boats with bits of wire on them you can use to confuse all and sundry at such gatherings, perhaps even a fold-down whiteboard and markers?

finally found something to do with my 80's mobile phone, I can strap this thing round my shoulders on windy days, put it and some other heavy gear in there, and get round the "no weight jackets" rules....
