Big thanks to everyone who came and supported the event - one of the biggest turn out's we've had yet (and one of the worst results I've ever had too, but that's a different story...).

Saturday was a great sail - plenty wind and only one recall, Sunday was cancelled due to high winds. I imagine that there will be a full report to come later.

Thanks Turnturtle, it was a great event - sun, lots of wind, a great night Saturday (and Friday for that matter), true sailing!

Having thought about the results, I've decided that in my eyes I was the overal winner as none of the top three were up drinking both nights untill 3am, followed by a night in the car - I feel these should be key qualifying criteria

JImbo, it would have been much better if there hadn't of been a general!!  I nailed the first start and as any seasoned birketeer knows its all about the first 5 minutes!!

As it happened i got nailed by one of the ETAP 21's who tacked on top of me and started bearing off down the line hitting me and taking me with him.   After i told him to basically f**k off and do his turns he told me to f**k off and that he wasn't doing them.  Consequently i struggled the whole race playing catch up!!

Charlie on the other hand was fecking flying!  Its got my juices going, i fancy an AC!!!

I hailed to him that i was protesting and he needed to do
turns. He then told me to bugger off. i know its the
principle but my result was so poor it didn't matter to me.
Also i didn't have any witness. I have since found out he
retired, which makes it all the more pointless. I love the
Birkett, just to race against all different types of boats
in the most stunning scenery in the UK. The result doesn't
really matter to me.
