Yes  - I'll be there.

In a 49er this year - therefore it's bound to be a windy weekend so i can entertain you all. Might take a 29er  - just in case.

Well it seems that I am doing the race this year, however I
feel it could take me forever in my radial, sold the 300.
Any advice on the racing side of things? How the hell do
you get clear air on a 200 boat start line, especially in a
slow boat.

I'm sure I will be able to manage some of the social
(drinking) aspects

Dave we will have to have a beer and a catch up. I hope
you sold the 300 to a good home?! As for starting, i wish
i could help chap. The truth is there is no fast place to
start (i don't think)The fast boats all shoot off and us
slow-uns are left in each others crap. Don't bother trying
to follow Lee and Lester noble off the Line, they seem to
be able to find their own wind!

My brother did it in a borrowed Topaz a couple of years ago. We were sitting in the camp site have a cuppa when we watched him come back down the lake. He had clean air for most of the race

Keith it was looking fairly brutal when i last looked at
the forecast!!! You better put the 29er on the double
stacker just in case! I'm slightly worried about having to
hike the Phantom flat all that way in that wind!!

Don't worry about space - we should be sorted there!

The start line is always a giggle - particuaraly the general recals (most years...).

I sailed the whole race one year having found a nice bow in the line thinking that was either a bloody good start or we are black flagged.

Have to say I am very envious have a good one.
