Well it is....and its the traveller that makes the difference....the windier it gets, up wind, then just crack it off, keeping the leech tension with the mainsheet and the boat flat with the traveller eased.

And downwind....place it in the centre and ease the mainsheet to get twist in the top to equal the spinny for perfect slot.....fast.

Russ, you are such a pimp if you judge a boat purely on the colour of its foredeck!  I wonder how many people do judge a boat purely on its looks?

Well i had two initial objections to the D-0ne when i first saw it.

1. I thought it was ugly.

2. I thought it was to expensive.

With the recent remolding and colour changes, for me this has transformed th look of the boat. For me YES the colour and look of a boat is a big thing!  My dinghy is my pride and joy, i work hard all week just to get down the club or on the circuit in my pride and joy.  If it looks Gash then, thats a big de-motivator for me!  Its human nature to be attracted to "good looking" things!  The neutral colours and new Mould make the boat look a million times better IMHO, and is the difference to me buying/not buying one.

If we move onto price, well i still can't afford one.  But then i could only just afford a new Laser, so if its £1000 or £10000 over budget its still out of my range at present.  I had the OK (from the wife) to buy a 100 but once i had factored in Combi covers Etc.  I couldn't justify the purchase.  Not with, at the time a new sprog en-route!

Thats the worse possible way to fund £10k, sure the rates are low, but work out how much you will pay over 25 years!!
