I was waiting for him to get bored with it and or say it has design floaws and was not suitable for his beach before I put an offer in. But now I won't bother.

So what happened next? Did he drag it up to the trolley, drag it down to the water or leave it there until the tide came back in just to give those stones a good chance of bruising the foam core (a gentle rocking motion could help here)? Or did he befriend some one to help lift it up? Prey do tell us.

Its hard to launch with those what 6 inch waves??!!!!  Grumpf, that is an absolute tragedy mate.  What is worse however is that someone stood by and took a photo instead of trying to help you!!

Ladies.. It's just a boat.

Listening to you lot whining.

Think I'll ram it up the beach full tilt just for the hell of it next time.

Anyway the story, as it happens, it was an afternoon hyperskive, no one
about, so the choice was either:

Take it in the water to get it off the trailer leave it while I take the trailer
up the beach, cos the tide was coming in, or take it off the trailer near the
water then slide it in.

It's going to get scratched sooner or later so just a question of dealing
with it mentally.

Not really a boat that you can leave in the water, it falls straight over
which would then have been even worse in the shorebreak, even small
waves have a lot of power.

What is worse though is some muppet turning up but rather than help get
the mobile out and start taking pictures..

Dumb (me) was actually giving a hand with said launching trolley at time.

If I was changed would have given a lift straight into the water.

I do have to agree with Graeme it is only a boat and it is going to eventually get scratched on that beach.

... er  ... it all looks far too painful to look at more than once -  it is thew visual equivalent  of  hearing finger nails being dragged across a blackboard.

... but maybe worth making in  Polyethylene  perhaps ....

You should have seen what I did to that Blaze..

However that's the positive thing with a Blaze, if you leave it, it stays
upright
long enough for you to deal with the trailor.

It's just such a heavy old barge getting it on and off, and mine was
supposed
to be light.

If only someone built a light Blaze with a Spinnaker.

Ouch!  One of the things I remember from when I tried the 100 (and commented on at the time) was how stable it is when taken off the trolley.

Isn't that what defines performance and ease of handling

Grumpfs good boat guide, rule No 1.

If they stay upright on their own they're slower but easy to sail

If they fall over they tend to be faster and more difficult

Simples
