well after boasting about how well I had done on the Wednesday I came dead last on Saturday. There was a bit
more wind and i wasn't feeling 100% so struggled to keep it flat up-wind and then couldn't hold the kite on the reaches... O well Ian |

You could be right James although I think its more to do
with the fact that the performance dips when there is more sail up than my weight can handle... but I would undoubtedly have done better had I been feeling a bit fitter. And either way handicap racing is about averages... for it to be right I have to have some big loses to go with the good wins for it to wind up in the right place. Cheers Ian |

We managed to have the first RS100 race at an RS open meeting this
weekend at Lymington. Finally gave me a chance to get out of the river in more than 3 knots of wind. I could only race yesterday, but three windward leeward courses starting with the 700's. First time I have sailed the production boat in any breeze and it was great. Took me until race 3 to get the rig looking right, then great upwind. The boat is actually more forgiving than you may think, and if you carry a bit of weight you can even dry capsize with the kite up! .......twice if you try hard enough.... ![]() |

No, not me that is Richard sn 127, but he still has no numbers on. Apparently GBR under iSAF has to be before SN, so holding back from applying them. useful picture though as looks as if he sits on the tiller extension when hoisting. I tend to slide back and put my leg over the tiller itself. Have to try it the other way..... Simon |

Hi all, Just finished tweaking the class rules which stipulate where the sail nos and national letters go - sail nos beween the 2nd and 3rd battens and the national letters between the 3rd and 4th battens, starboard side uppermost for both: The class rules are based on the ISAF format for manufacturers one-designs - and should be on the association website by the end of the week. Theres no great surprises in them, but they are a good starting point. We should discuss them at the nationals and take a vote in the Autumn to ratify them. the control of them will after that be in the hands of the International Association. Shame that the Glyn Charles Pursuit and the Parkestone get together clash this saturday, but the boats are rigged at HISC at the moment so I think we will stay there: Have fun, though. Nick. |

Hi Dave, There should be very few of you as we quickly started sending out the manuals with an addendum. the reason is easy to see - there is not much room - and certainly when we go over 1000, there will not be enough room. We will happily send you some more numbers - or we can do them for you at the first Nationals? No urgency, of course. Glad to see you've done it in some ways - always looks so bland when an owner does not bother.....nag, nag, Simon Nick. |
