Gurnard will have two next week, three by the end of the month, and six by July.  If we get three visitors we will get class racing in Cowes Dinghy Week starting July 25th.  Anyone coming?

Well I got it, pleased to hear all the mods I asked for have been done.
Lovely day for a park on the M25 both ways and even managed to get it
back without being sideswiped by some Eastern European truck driver.

It looks The Don, I can't wait for tomorrow. Martin showed me how some
of the stuff works and how to take it apart.

I love the little extra bits like the shock cord on the end of the pole so
when it retracts it pulls in the spinnaker sheets. The kicker works exactly
the way a kicker should, not like the cack handed other Gnav things I've
messed with recently.

Adjustable footstraps, love it and can move it further outboard, love that.

You can see the Pride all those guys down there have in what they've
produced, it's a really tight team, making good stuff, the atmosphere,
you can tell just walking in there, it's a vibrant place and they all listen to
each other.

OK it was sunny and it was Friday and there were two other boats being
sorted, mine was finished when I got there other than a few of the bits of
string that 'hold it together' being adjusted by Nick, so other than
chucking some sand on the varnish of the other two boats, there was not
much for me to do but listen to how it all goes together have a spot of
lunch then leave.

It's fantastic to hear so much excitement about something so accessible (deliverry time accepted).

This is going to sound like a bit of an odd question but is the 100 a kneeling or perching boat downwind? Being of the 'knackered knee pursuasion' that is something which is in the back of my mind when I ruminate about 'getting with the programme'.

Does anybody know the delivery time for boats ordered recently?

I can confirm absolutely definately no kneeling downwind in any breeze -
the thought of kneeling is the one thing that put me off ever getting a
Phantom or a Blaze before the 100 came along (my knees cant take any
kneeling either - wobbly lumps of floating gristly stuff on both knees !).

In the really light you can either sit right forward on the foredeck, sit in
the boat with feet on side tank and back on the opposite, or stand, which
actually seems very effective. It doesn't take much breeze at all and you
will either be sitting out and then hiking as hard as you can !

Not now Kato (you fewl) !

Launched it this avo after much pratting about putting it together, then
putting it together with the string bits where they probably should be,
and sail no's and GBR first time I've ever put those initials on a rig,
prefering the old K prefix.

It was blowing a two to three with puffs from the East with sunshine,
about as benign conditions as Hythe delivers, a fabulous day. Ruined only
by bending to do something stupid and putting my back out, still not to
worry.

I could wax poetical about if for reams, but in brief it's exactly what I
want in a boat, everything is exactly where you want it, there are so many
extra nice touches, the slot flusher what a cool idea that is, the mast
being foam filled, it's even got bits of string under the gunwhales against
the day it falls over. A truly well sorted boat, well balanced, lively if you're
doing it wrong then you do it right you know instantly, very input is
rewarded, every mistake is punished however so it's not a beginners tool.
There's no way I'd appreciate this if I hadn't trodden the path I have with
all those other boats, it feels like a reward for all that effort, almost feels
like a boat made just for me..

Found myself getting flash, spinnaker running it in close to the beach and
gybing round one of the T15 buoys with the kite up, damn how easy is
that without a forestay, almost self gybing spinnaker. Then nearly hitting
the rock groin cos i can't hold it to high so had to do and emergency
drop, which is a piece of cake.

Hoist and drop can both be done either holding onto the wiggle stick
(carbon indeed) or doing the Musto knee bent shuffle (quicker), only fault
I found, during a gybe I slipped back into the boat on a shiney bit, that
will get some bling stomp traction addition in due course.

All in all I love it love it love it, totally dialed at this point one could
almost say flawless, but I dare say I'll find something, but not today.
