James - yes that is the right BA. But despite advertising the black one, they don't actually have any - neither do Sailboats, or anywhere else I can find. |

James
Plenty of similarity with the 300 rig, but don't be surprised when one slips by upwind and higher - much less wetted area. 300 pN 1000, so 5 points quicker and no kite for downwind, go figure.... should be a fair bit quicker upwind. ![]() |

As TT has said, the RS100 has been 'adopted' into the RS family of classes, so the association exists. Hopefully that means the bulk of the work (membership, web site etc) will be done by the existing RS administrators. But owner input will still be needed and volunteers are 'being sought'. There is now an RS100 link on the RS Association website, - but apart from boat stats, b*gger all on it. No events (despite some planned), no news - not even a link to the blog, etc etc. If someone interested in the 100 goes to the RS classes page, it will appear the class is virtually moribund - clearly neither correct nor the impression we want to give. Charlie/ Niki - who's responsible for keeping those pages up to date, and can this be sorted so that it looks like the class is at least semi-organised and active? Thanks K |

Hmm I must admit if it were me in those conditions I'd be block to block.. But then what do I know and up until now had no-one to compare with, but rumour has it we'll have three 100's in our club this season so I'll have the benefit of class racing albeit on a limited scale, but at least it'll be interesting to try out things against some equal opposition. That is if I don't pass out from leg strangulation by my new hikers.. |

I noticed 116 just went out and I seem to recall I was 118, so maybe not so
long to wait now. Maybe I shall get on the blower... It's Golden Day tomorrow, maybe I'll be lucky.. |

Thanks for the heads up ref the Class Assoc web page - we'll chase that up. Also referring back a few pages - the sponsorship announcement we made at the Dinghy Show was indeed that Dakine will be the title sponsors for the 2010 UK Nationals - this should be reported in the press soon - they were all at the Show. Great to have Dakine on board - for those new to Dakine, they make top luggage and accessories for water and winter sports. They're very well known in windsurfing, snow boarding etc - and by the end of the year they will be in sailing as well! The sponsorship input is actually provided by Surf Sales, the UK Dakine distributor - owned by a well known Y&Y Forum member... Dates for the UK Nationals are confirmed as 4 / 5 September at Parkstone, Poole. |

Whats the halyard made of? There was a spate of 400 and 200 masts with what were referred to by many as 'elastic halyards', this was a year ago so I guess you will have a dyneema halyard but its worth checking. |
