I knocked this up the other night. Picked up the printed vinyl today so this weekends job will be applying a rather large one to the main and some slightly more petite versions to the crews area of the cockpit. She then can't say I never warned her!

Your main would look good if you got an update for it similar to what our new 300 and the 700 one looks like.

Yeah i know i was talking to one of the guys from RS about
why the 600 still has that main and and hasnt moved onto the carbon weaved sail like the 300 or the kevlar weave of the 700. He said the 300 association decided they wanted a new main and so RS sorted it for them. RS didnt actually play any part in the idea of the modernised main so if the 600 is going to get the same style, we will have to as an association organise it. But at the moment the current sail works perfectly and i dont see any reason to change apart from looks. |

Would the FF sail work for a "low riding" 600, or is it too optimised for foiling?

Salty, I was on the 300 section at the show and i thought your 600 looked good. But fella, you still have the original Holt blocks dotted around. They almost look retro nowerdays dude. You NEED to change them. |

It was designed especially for the foiler so i presume it
only really works well on one of those. Plus it wouldnt be class legal and there would be a lot of kerfuffle in allowing it in the rules as im sure a lot of the class would disagree. Russ - Thanks mate ![]() bits on there. Most of them are spliced into the control lines so until I replace those they will have to stay. But yes I will get round to doing it at some point. I should probably stop wasting time and money on utterly pointless things like the carbon fibre vinyl that i got cut to go over the black bit of the logos at the back of the deck. It does look pretty sweet, although only noticable if you look closely. I doubt many people spotted it. Edited by s.a.l.t.y |

They are lazy hooks. I thought they were quite common but
the RS guys had never seen them before either. They are designed so that the hook is always pointing downwards, making it easier to hook on. Its an Ovington thing - http://www.ovingtonboats.com/products/577 They were already on the boat when i bought it (good work at pimping george) so i cant claim the idea for them. |

Salty - As you have taken your main sheet jammer off (like most of us) I look forward to watching you wire to wire taking with your lazy hooks to see what kind of extra speed it heps you carry out of the tacks or to see which you drop first - mainsheet, trapeze or tiller And if it does make you quicker - i'm only turning up for events were there is a windy forecast!
