Well .. They might be reaching / bearing away when it happened .. but there is no kite!

A two sail reach in a cherub is pretty scary and pretty nosey! I imagin 12 are similar

Comparing Aqua with Havoc on a 2 sailer - Aqua ALOT wetter!! just sliced through the waves, havoc a little less moist but then goes BAM!! Cherubs slice the water then go, 12's, well, they just GO!  All in all, its always safer to run with the kite than without!! Not sure the harbour police agree when twinin down the plymouth catwatter with the kite up!

2 sail reaching in any skiff in a blow is dodgy we have to be in back foot loops with the T-foil off just to stop bow from digging in the 14

On a 12 the mast is a fair bit further back, and they have more rocker too, so not quite as twitchy as a Cherub. However, when they decide that they're going to stop, they just do (and it hurts).

Why would you want to not put the kite up though?

I have to keep repeating "Cherub first, 12' later"

Cherub first, 12' later, Cherub first, 12' later, Cherub first, 12' later, Cherub first, 12' later, Cherub first, 12' later, Cherub first, 12' later
