We are pleased to confirm that Harken will be supporting the British D-Ones this year.  They are sponsoring our UK series (dates and venues to be announced at the Dinghy Show) and also will have a D-One on their stand at the Dinghy Show.  We will, of course, be there to show you around the new 'hi tech' version of the D-One (sorry James but I don't think we will have a black one ready in time but as soon as we have some photos of one we will post them here).  Come and talk about the UK series - we will have plenty of charter boats available for these events so don't miss out.  Although I can't guarantee the sunshine I can give assurances that you will not find a better social event anywhere - it will be awesome!

Don't forget that you can take a great holiday in the Italian sun (not guaranteed but highly likely).  Cheap flights via Ryanair or Eastjet, spectacular venues linked to good company, wine and food and, of course, racing the D-One. Contact me for more information on charter and travel possibilities rodney@devoti-one.co.uk .

23-25 April   Scarlino   1st round
21-23 May   Bracciano 2nd round
11-13 June  Numana    3rd round
25-27 June   Torbole     4th round

And the 1st Italian Championship

16-19 September Alassio D-One (Campionato Italiano) and Volvo 5th round

I think I'm going with a retrofit with a new deck on my boat...

Sorry it wasn't available last summer... As with the "carbon" look!

I have to say that, although I still don't like the look of the D1's hull (like the sail plan though) that sitting out position looks totally comfortable - less sitting out than sitting on the wings that extend so far out. Nice idea!

Matteo- feel free to come over to the UK and use my RS100, it will have a black carbon deck already...

Here's some photos of D-Ones and RS100s enjoying some wonderful British sailing conditions last weekend
- far nicer than Italy you'll surely agree? And if that isn't enough to persuade you, I have also added a photo
or two of some sexy English girls that make those Italian Riveria types look like a bunch of old hags...

... seriously, you don't know what you're missing- we're totally spoilt over here!

Wow James,  I didn't think you had it in you

You have seriously made me proud to be British!

Nice offer to Matt but he is already in love!

I know, doesn't this little slideshow of the the modern British lady epitomise what is
so special about our Society?

Careful or the whole of Europe will move here for our English Roses- or have they?

The Greatest Show on Earth?

Well, for me the dinghy show rates close to that as it's a real chance to see the new developments, meet old mates and talk boats.

If anyone's wondering the answer's yes!  We will have a D-One at the show and it will be with the new deck - stand G30 (the Harken stand) just inside the main entrance in the West Hall.  Visit us and get a free gift (whilst stocks last) and find out why we think the D-One is one of the most exciting dinghy developments around. You can even book your holiday in the sun for a few days racing a D-One.

We look forward to meeting some of you there!

Rodney

PS apologies for picture quality but I took them with my mobile phone and that's as good as it gets

I did declare an interest and I consider my post as under the heading of 'news and information'.  Yes, your mistake!

Please go to the opening posting on this thread for an understanding of what it's about.
