4000s are great ! 3 years of teaching in them - along with other high perf dinghies. Personally I find them a very 'robust' dinghy that can be sailed well in any wind condition.

Sounds good. Never sailed one. Think im gona have to get to grips wit the boats I will be sailng before teaching in them. once tried at teachin ina 420 and got very confused with the tiller extention, (first tie i had sailed it) |

Yeah try and have a few goes in the boats you are going to be teaching in cos if the instructor can't sail the boat to a good standard it doesnt look good to the people you are teaching !

yeah believe me i know, bintheredun that, thankfuly the kids were very goos about it. As long as they dont put me in oppies then i will be fine. |

try and get some trapezing done before you go out ... cos if you want to sail them, you'll be asked if you've trapezed before. Fortunately I never got close to an Oppie ! No offence Oppie sailors
