does anybody know if there is going to a training day at haversham again next year?

	My paerents in law are having a big family gathering in London that day. I'm trying to work out if I can go sailing and then catch the train down there after...I assume it is finishing pretty early given the nights drawing in!

	Boys & Girls, It needs final confirmation, but put Saturday 10th April in your diary for next year's Training Day at Haversham. All Lightning 368 helms are welcome and our Netty (or one of her deputies) will be laying on lunch. 	I have only discovered this section of the YY forum and on the day I sold my lightning to a chap called Bryce who posted earlier. Lightnings are great boats particularly on small waters. My son owns 104 with which he has won the Nationals twice proving that age matters nothing. My own boat 32 ,now sold, rescued from the nettles sails equally as well. On 32 I removed the thwart and made my own "pod" in stainless steel not realising that John Claridge would be producing them so cheap! It improves the boat (which is very trim sensitive a lot). Many old lightnings were produced in particularly weird colours and Mark Giles told me that they were as ordered by customers, but I never believed him, having seen his ties! No 32 was brown and cream, horrible, so I filled and painted it red and white and after two seasons of hard racing it still looks smart. I am buying a Byte C2 just for fun but we still have good old 104 in the family. Good luck to all you new owners.....you made the right choice!

	glad to hear a training date is on. made a note in the diary. i need all the help i can get, especially in very,very light winds. in these conditions my wife is leaving me for dead. mind you this might have some thing to do with her just getting a newer, skinner built, British Moth! 	looks like i might not make it after all. my club is thinking of holding a british moth open on the tenth of april. will have to be there, or my wife will make my life interesting ! LN333

	10th April is in the middle of the school holidays, which I've only just worked out, so could be a problem for me, too, as I expect the family will want to be on holiday...

	Yay, new sail has arrived! In fact it arrived the day before the BM, but no way I was going out to play in that...maybe this Sunday will be possible. Anyone got good ideas for putting telltales on the sail - what and where?
