http://www.yachtsandyachting.com/news/?article=138901 Really? £5!? You can get a higher grade glove for £3 or even less at your local builders merchants or gardening store

They have got some cheek trying that on.

I'm sure the label junkies will go for it!

what a rip off! i pay less than a quid a pair if i actually buy them usually a benefit from work. i would never pay that much for a glove that rarely lasts more than 10-15 days of sailing

Zhik do something similar that also doesn't last as long as your average builder's glove. Impressed with Prince Buster though  as the cheapest I can get is £1.99.

These builder's glove are great though. The grip is fantastic (most Hurricane helms will be familiar with that "arthritis in the hand" sensation after sailing in medium winds and above. Not any more!. Plus, I don't have to worry about losing a pair of £25 leather jobbies, just carry a stock of cheapies in my bag.

I use Showa thermal builders gloves slightly more exspensive, but still only about £4 a pair they last at least 2 events on the 14, where as the other cheaper imitations from markets etc. last 1 race, i also bought some kevlar knitted ones which have lasted but the latex started coming off pretty quickly (i evosticked it back on)
