That's the equivalent of an RPG to the face on COD4. OWNED!

It's our sense of fair-play, old chap. That's why we let the rest of the world ride rough-shod over us:

Queing is a completely pointless British cultural trait that we seem completely incapable of leaving behind.

On the roads you see these cultural dinosaurs, moving out of two completely clear and empty lanes to join the que in the left hand lane on the premise that something must be happening three or four miles further along that they need to que for, thus wasting 8 miles of tarmac (4miles x 2lanes). If there is space to get through, go for it.

Another example would be to look at how many hours of skiing cultural dinosaurs miss out on during the ski season because the neatly que for the ski lift. I'd say on average our continental chums probably gain an hour on the piste a day by making use of the space and not forming long orderly ques.

Glad I had, in the end. I hadn't attended the briefing, but apparently they had requested there that people queue at the bridge. Very frustrating, though, as it just takes one numpty... Bit like on the roads, really.

It was my attempt at humour, but when I dutifully queued for the bridge in the Sheppey race, I did wonder if I was being a bit too British...

you can tell alot by how people sail, what class they sailed before, if they learned to sail on the sea or inland, what conditions they mostly have at there home club is usually there speciallity.as a generalisation Europeans tend to be boat speed and looking for larger wind shifts in the corner, Americans because of collage sailing smaller shifts more boat on boat, but weaker on speed due to less people to tune against. Brazil are good at boat speed in a long swell which we don't get very often, ect

if you que for the bridge or not is what ever to norm is in your fleet some may find it deeply offensive if you barged in, or just see it as a tactical move which they should have defended against and congratulate you on your smart move.
