I'm guessing the 4tonner has bigger sheet loads, the 800 has a 2-1 puchase on the kite i think?

pretty sure the 800 doesn't have 2:1 as there would be loads of sheet to pull in giving slower gybes, although i think it does have an extre block some where to increase the contact surface with the ratcet block, but i could be wrong?

No. RS 800 is a small, girls kite (200 sq,ft) with a 1:1 sheeting. For comparison, a B14 has a proper size kite (300 sq.ft) and also 1:1 sheeting. When going deep for good VMG, the sheet loads are ok. Big gusts and leaving the gybe points too late, these kites will try and pull your arms out of their sockets.

Stops it being impounded at the club by foot and mouth I suppose!
Got a few shots of boats outside houses now ... Usally the first stop after picking them up is home, so you can get the boat park keys that you thought you picked up ... You know, The ones you put in the glove compartment / bag / toolbox but infact left on the table! |
