Favourite Championship Venue?

Lots of people helped...but to be honest it was still bloody hard work especially given the fact that we had F5-F6 SE all week (not what you want there).

Can't fault the club though, just the ramp to the boat park!

British Moth for another, I don;t think they have any sea events (although I could be wrong).

Comets alternate between Sea and Inland I believe so insland sailors are not disadvataged because the setup and technque is different for inland (generally flat) water is different to that in waves. IMO it is much easier to go from waves to flat water than from flat water to waves.

I'd go for for Falmouth, I never fail to be impressed by the place, both Carrick roads and open sea.

Teignmouth was good as well. But I havent been everywhere yet, so I look foward to visiting the other places named here.

Internationally I'd say Medemblik has everything.

I find Hayling frustrating in a number of ways. For all of it facilities I alway feel as if im in a sausage factory.

I'm off to Hamble in a couple of weeks for the Fireflies, and rather looking forward to it. But then the kids are going with Grandparents to France, so the family part isn't a factor! Well over 50 entries so far, so it isn't putting too many people off.

PS I'll give my views of the venue after!

PPS For the sailing, I love small inland venues, but they don't work so well for a major event...for the atmosphere, give me a Firefly Nationals at Mounts Bay or Abersoch, but that just might be old memories of 100 pint weeks coming back...I'll be lucky to manage 10 pints this time!
