My 200 has recently sprung a leak in the forward tank, and although I know how to track it, I'm a little uncertain about how to repair. I'm currently assuming that I am going to have to take something like the grabrail or jib tracks off, fill, re-drill and re-attatch. However, what do I fill with? I've not worked in glass before, but I can't see it's going to be a difficult thing to do if someone can point me in the right direction. One it's re-filled and I've drilled, do I then need to have a sealent where I put the screw through? Thanks for the numpty help! |

It may be that the screw holes just need to be re sealed in which case sikkaflex is the stuff for the job. Squirt some down each hole and bob's your father's brother If the screws are loose it's probably worth dropping some polyester (Not epoxy) with some thickening agent (Talcum powder works quite well, micro fibres are better) into the holes and slipping the screws in so that they tap a thread. Then re sikkaflex and re attach the rail or track. |

OK, got it with the sikkaflex. Why polyester and not epoxy assuming I need to re-fix something? |

Because the boat is built using polyester. Epoxy has differant properties to polyester so it's best not to mix the two, especially if the repair is structural.
