Thank you  Still lurk on here, if only for GRF's posts.  No longer sailing, my back is too f&^%ed up for hiking, and there is no way I could drag a Finn around the dinghy park now. Rick was a very valued contributor to this forum and a really helpful guy away from it. Pretty down to earth bloke actually- certainly helped me get a lot out of my skiff before the kiddies came along and took the weekends away.
I hope he'll come back one day, or maybe when he's old, knackered, well past it and fed-up with chammy creaming his arse crack and being beaten by the dopers on wheels, he'll get a Solo and join in the 'better' sport again.

Rick took up cycling afaik, he didn't like assertions that he was commercially motivated as a I recall and left. I think the whole MPS scene over at Whitstable was also beginning to crumble and my antagonism towards the MPS probably didn't help, we didn't exactly see eye to eye nor did he fully appreciate whereas he was serious about whatever he said I actually wasn't, I do miss sparring with him though. No idea about the others. |

I don't know much about that bit of the furore, I know a great deal about the first bit and a lot about the corruption within shall we say personal fiefdoms posing as clubs and organisations in the name of kite boarding. The forum I ran into her on was the one that got me into this whole internet posting sickness, it's a sad fact even though i haven't posted there for a while I'm still up there as one of it's more prolific posters, slightly different persona required there, I made the mistake of being sensible, which I've caught off here, and she rightly called me on it. Didn't realise she was Ginger, wish I'd known at the time, not somebody's step child as well is she?
I've actually changed persona's here again for fear of overtaking her post count, I am so sad, I'm sure whatever it is I've got, there will come a time when it's diagnosed and it'll for certain fall into the compulsive obsessive spectrum.. Edited by iGRF - 11 Oct 12 at 2:51pm |
