I was a member of a club years ago where all sorts was going on - wierd thing is, at the time I never did catch on to what was happening... bit slow, me.

I'm not being funny but what has the committee got to do with it?

Absolutely nothing. The worst possible thing that a club committee could do is to start getting involved with personal stuff like that. It may not be easy to keep at arms length, when the protagonists are active members, or on committees, but unless they start coming to blows in the clubroom or vandalising each others boats it's not committee business.

A long term member joined our SC committee after a few turbulent years. His first comment was " Now i understand there has been a fair amount of wife swapping going on...... Shame I missed out on that" Said member was a retired headmaster and supposedly a pillar of the community and it was said very much tongu in cheek.
