Why do you want to cut the top off?

Because then it will fit on Strawberrys mast, and it will get rid of that stupidly curved luff.

But if you cut the top off then you will also have to recut almost all of the top third of what is left just to create some sort of roach and get some kind of shape back in to the leach.

It would be much eisier to either cut the bottom off or to take a section out of the middle.

Angle back the spreaders on strawbery's mast and pull a load of tension on to prebend it to shape, you may still have to trim the luff curve a bit but that would be eisier than recutting the whole leach profile.

If it doesn't break it's too heavy; if it does it wasn't built right

would it not just be eisier to find a old damaged 49er mast and repair that than try bodging a winsusfer mast to the top of a 14 mast?
